Charity Work

DEVELOPMENT WITH A DIFFERENCE

Luxdon is proud to support The Dreike Scholarship Fund and donates a percentage of its yearly profit to the charity.

Luxdon’s Co–Founder Marcus Dreike decided to set up a scholarship fund in 2008 along with his father and brother to give back to Africa – a continent they all love. The charity  currently supports over 20 children in Zambia and 15 children in Rwanda; since it started in 2008 over 65 students have completed secondary school as a result of the charity’s support.

The Dreike scholarships pay for school fees, uniforms, school books and other materials. It gives the most deserving and underprivileged children the chance to receive an education and attend school. Its future aim is to continue to provide funds for these 35 children & young people as they pursue their studies giving them, and others, an education they would otherwise never receive.

The charity has raised over £140,000 in 10 years.

Two students have become nurses and one is now training to become a doctor – great success stories that our current students also aspire to achieve.

ALL money donated goes DIRECTLY to the schools or children that the charity sponsors. Please see the Dreike Scolarship website for more information.
